On Midterms.

Last week one of my classes was handed a midterm that most of us seemed to be blindsided by. We forgot that we are all juniors and seniors in a senior level class. Minus the fact it was an open book midterm (something unheard of), it should have been difficult and it was one of the harder tests I have taken in recent semesters.

For my part, I did not study. I had three midterms total last week and studied for the one I considered to be the hardest, one that was not open book. I did my best and still ran out of time, ultimately leaving three questions blank. That is my fault, not my instructors.

It was a difficult test and we were offered grace in the form of an open book (two books actually). Keep that in mind when you decide to complain. You’re a junior/senior now. Suck it up. Put your big boy/girl pants on and write this off as experience. Lesson learned.
