Well. I’m trying to get into the habit of posting my favorite moments from the week on Fridays and have been seriously slacking in this goal. So, here we go again. 🙂
Some conversations with my boys sounded like this:
E-man: “Don’t EVER eat dead animals!”
Mommy: “Why not?”
E-man: “Because you’re supposed to eat live animals that have been roasted!”
ZigZag: “Mommy, slugbugs are small enough I could drive one by myself!”
You should also know that I taught my boys to play a game that involves hitting, without thinking. Yes, I’m referring to the ever popular “slugbug!” where you hit someone every time you see a Volkswagon Beetle. But, my boys have taken this a bit further. We hit on not only Beetles but Jeeps (the “real” ones), Hummers, PT Cruisers, and this week we’ve added ** drum-roll please** … SCHOOL BUSES!! Seriously. Do you know how violent our trips to school in the mornings are turning into?! Oh, keep in mind, they’re only allowed to hit me and not each other. Good thing I don’t bruise that easy!
On a less self-centered note, the Chilean miners were all rescued this week and all but two are currently home from the hospital. It is so very humbling to see such a miracle of God unfold. To spend 68 days underground, in the dark, and to come out not only alive but praising God. I did see several reports that the miners were having services twice a day while underground and that they said there were truly 34 of them there because God never left their side. We serve a phenomenal God.
